The trip to High Chapparal was purely work. We work for the auction house PS Onlineauktioner, where we sell basically anything that’s worth selling, and by anything I mean anything. An airstrip, a submarine and a store full of sex-toys, those are some examples of what we sell.

This time, our job was to handle liquidate the assets of a store, and a quite big one at that. The job was to document a couple of hundred square meters worth of industrial machines and tools, many of which I’ve never ever heard of before.

As many Mondays before, it started with a cup of strong coffee. Not the “sit down and enjoy a cup”, but more the “print 500 auction-number-stickers and get ready for 2h drive” kinda cup. After printing the numbers and gathering all the necessary stuff like cameras and work gear, we headed of to Kulltorp.

This part of the job is simple; document whatever it is you’re selling with photos and description, then estimate the price. After one day at this place I think I had snapped somewhere around 2000 pictures. This specific auction we ended up with roughly 350 items, which is a fairly large auction.
